Daily Food Infaq

In collaboration with Nisa Bakri Gourmet, Yayasan Nurjiwa organizes a weekly program to distribute cooked meals to orphans, the underprivileged (asnaf), and university students from low-income (B40) groups.

The program runs every Friday, delivering cooked meals to locations such as Kompleks PASUM, Universiti Malaya, Universiti Kuala Lumpur, and various orphanages on a rotational basis. Approximately 150 to 200 individuals benefit from the food distributions at any given time.

During Ramadan, 500 orphans and asnaf are treated to delicious meals and iftar gatherings. These events are organized every Friday throughout the holy month, with a total of at least four gatherings hosted during Ramadan.

This initiative provides an opportunity for orphans, asnaf, and B40 students to enjoy nutritious meals at least once a week, addressing their financial constraints. It is a sustainable act of charity with hopes to expand and benefit more recipients weekly.

All donations go directly to Nurjiwa Foundation programs, supporting those who need it most. Join hundreds of others in making a lasting impact.

About this campaign

The Daily Food Infaq is an initiative by Yayasan Nurjiwa in collaboration with Nisa Bakri Gourmet to address food insecurity among orphans, the underprivileged (asnaf), and university students from low-income (B40) groups. Every Friday, freshly prepared meals are delivered to locations such as Kompleks PASUM, Universiti Malaya, Universiti Kuala Lumpur, and orphanages on a rotational basis, benefiting 150 to 200 individuals weekly. During Ramadan, the program expands to treat 500 orphans and asnaf to meals and iftar gatherings every Friday, with at least four special events held throughout the holy month. By ensuring access to nutritious meals, the initiative fosters compassion and supports the well-being of vulnerable communities, creating a lasting impact.

Impact of the campaign

The Daily Food Infaq has created a significant impact on the lives of orphans, asnaf, and B40 students, offering more than just meals—it provides hope and dignity. By addressing the basic need for nourishment, this initiative alleviates the burden of food insecurity for individuals who often struggle to make ends meet. For many beneficiaries, the meals distributed through this program represent a rare opportunity to enjoy a balanced, freshly cooked meal, lifting some of the financial pressures they face. The initiative also strengthens community bonds by bringing people together during weekly distributions and Ramadan iftar gatherings, creating moments of joy and connection amidst challenging circumstances.
The campaign’s reach and consistency have helped build a sense of stability for its recipients, ensuring that they can rely on this support every week. With plans to expand and include even more beneficiaries, the Daily Food Infaq continues to be a source of hope, demonstrating the profound difference that thoughtful and consistent acts of kindness can make in transforming lives.
