24 October 2023, Kuala Lumpur — A powerful display of unity and compassion unfolded at Axiata Arena, Bukit Jalil, during the Malaysia Stands with Palestine gathering, held to express solidarity with the Palestinian people amidst ongoing humanitarian crises.
Among the distinguished participants was Dato’ Seri Siti Nurhaliza, renowned singer and humanitarian, who attended in her capacity as Founder of Yayasan Nurjiwa. Answering the national call, she stood alongside fellow Malaysians and more than 40 non-governmental organizations in a collective show of support for Palestine.
The event was organized by Angkatan Belia Islam Malaysia (ABIM) and Global Peace Malaysia (GPM), with the gathering running from 7:30 PM to 10:30 PM. Other notable organizations in attendance included the Malaysian Humanitarian Aid and Relief (MAHAR) and the Consultative Council of Islamic Organizations Malaysia (MAPIM).
In a joint address, the organizers highlighted the purpose of the gathering — to ignite continued awareness, advocate for justice, and uphold the struggle for Palestinian rights across present and future generations.
